 The BJP national President Shri Rajnath Singh today launched the Delhi BJP’s election campaign at Talkatora stadium. Shri Singh said the BJP governments in different states have prepared a development model which will be implemented in Delhi and at the Centre when BJP will come into power.

Addressing enthusiastic party workers Sh. Singh said, “The party will surely end the 14-year vanvas in Delhi and come to power.”

Addressing the rally, Delhi election incharge and former national president Shri Nitin Gadkari urged all the party workers to work together and put up a united fight against Congress. “We will win by one-third majority,” said a confident Shri Gadkari. He said to ensure affordable power supply in Delhi, the BJP will implement Household power general model and  encourage extensive generation and use of solar energy.

Delhi BJP President Shri Vijay Goel said, the people of Delhi are fed up with 15 years of misrule of Congress.  Today almost one crore of Delhi’s population lives in slums, JJ clusters, underdeveloped villages and unauthorised colonies.

“The Congress had sold dream of making Delhi another Paris. But it has turned the city into a slum.” He said today Congress is displaying billboards claiming credit for providing food security. What was Congress doing for 15 years? It never showed concern for the poor.A few months prios to the assembly polls, it is reminded of the poor.

Shri Goel said, the BJP when it comes to power will provide medical insurance to all citizens of Delhi, house to every JJ household, safety for women and 4% relaxation in cut off marks to students passing out from Delhi in DU admissions. It will focus on improving education standards in schools, reducing power tariff by 30% and providing water to all. “We will clean Yamuna and revive it in a time bound manner,” he added.

Leader of Opposition in Delhi Aseembly Prof. VK Malhotra said, “The prices of basic commodities like onions have risen by more than 250% but incomes have hardly risen making people more poor in the real sense. This is due to faulty policies of Congress.
