VIJENDER GUPTA VISITS BALIA TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ‘TERAHANVI’ OF THE GANGRAPE VICTIM: ANNOUNCEMENT TO NAME A SCHOOL OF THE CORPORATION IN DELHI IN THE MEMORY OF THE DECEASED

 New Delhi, 12th January. BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta participated in the Terahanvi of the gang rape victim in Balia today. On this occasion he discussed with the members of the family of the victim about providing best lawyer in the case of gang rape. BJP wants that all the six accused may be awarded capital punishment so that no criminal may dare to misbehave with any woman. The party is of the view that the convicts may be hanged so that any person trying to commit such crime may think thousand times before doing so. 

On the occasion of Terahanvi, Shri Gupta announced that a school of the Municipal Corporation in Delhi will be named after the brave girl of the country so that the coming generation may remember how a brave daughter fought the criminals by risking her life. BJP will honour the parents of the victim on the occasion of naming the school. 

BJP Delhi Pradesh President had taken with him condolence message of National President Shri Nitin Gadkari, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Smt. Sushma Swaraj and National General Secretary Organisation Shri Ramlal. The condolence message was read out to the family members of the victim and the letter was handed over to them. On behalf of BJP, Shri Gupta presented a cheque of Rs. 5 lakh to the family members of the victim with the letter. Smt. Swaraj has written that she has demand the Central Urban Development Minister Kamalnath to provide a MIG flat in Delhi to the family members of the victim. The Central Government has started a positive action on this letter. 

The President of Uttar Pradesh BJP Shri Laxmikant Vajpayee, West Delhi District President Shri Rajiv Babbar and the area BJP Legislator Shri Upendra Tiwari participated in the Terahanvi alongwith Shri Vijender Gupta. On this occasion the father of the victim told in an emotional and grieving atmosphere that the Government should now take concrete and stern steps against such crimes so that the sacrifice of her brave daughter may not go in vain.
