VIJENDER GUPTA AND SHEILA DISKHIT SHALL FACE EACH OTHER IN THE COURT OF METROPOLITAN IN SAKET TOMORROW

Tomorrow BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta and Chief Minister of Delhi Smt. Sheila Dikshit shall be personally present in connection with defamation case in the court of Saket Metropolitan Magistrate. The Advocates of Shri Gupta shall argue with the Chief Minister in the court. 

BJP Delhi Pradesh President had initiated movement against Delhi Government for its connivance with the private power companies of Delhi and anti people decision of increasing the power tariff in place of reduction in power tariff. The Chief Minister started litigation to weaken the public movements of BJP and demoralise the Pradesh leadership of the party and hatched conspiracy to implicate Shri Gupta in various court cases. BJP Pradesh President had decided to make the movement against the Government more forceful. Shri Gupta had pointed out to the people about various anti people decisions and works of the Government in a systematic manner. 

In the second week of September the lawyers of the Chief Minister had filed application for the exemption of the Chief Minister from personal appearance. The lawyers of Shri Vijender Gupta S. Shri Ajay Burman, Ajay Digpal, Neeraj Kumar, Abhay Kumar Verma had strongly opposed on the ground that the complainant is taking recourse to various excuses to avoid court proceedings. The Magistrate had granted the request for exemption without listening to the lawyers of the respondent. The lawyers of BJP Delhi Pradesh President had strongly opposed it and complained to the District Judge Shri R.K. Gaba against the Metropolitan Magistrate. 

The Metropolitan Magistrate Miss Soumya Chauhan fixed 12th October, 2012 as the next date of hearing in this case and also issued notice to the Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit to personally appear in the court. Hence, BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit shall face each other in the court tomorrow. The lawyers of Shri Gupta S.Shri Ajay Burman, Ajay Digpal, Abhay Kumar Verma, Neeraj Kumar etc. shall argue with the Chief Minister. On the other hand, BJP Delhi Pradesh President has clearly stated in the High Court that he will continue to oppose every anti people decision of the Chief Minister because it is his political, social and legal responsibility. He is the Pradesh President of main opposition party BJP.
