Under the leadership of BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta the Party leaders shall file FIR against Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, two former Members of DERC and officers of power Ministry tomorrow on 13th October, 2012 at 10.30 a.m. for denying the benefit of reduction in power tariff by 23% to the people under a criminal connivance between Delhi Government and the three power companies of Delhi.
Shri Gupta told that in place of giving benefits to the people promised at the time of privatisation, Delhi Government and power companies are busy in looting 2 crore people of Delhi. The then Chairman of DERC had prepared orders that power tariff be reduced by 23% on 3rd May, 2010 in view of additional 3577 crores being recovered from the people. Chief Minister stopped the DERC from reducing power tariff by writing a letter to the DERC on 4th May, 2010.
In the mean time Shri Brijender Singh retired and Shri P.D. Sudhakar was appointed as the new Chairman. He passed orders to increase power tariff by 22 and then 34%. It may be mentioned that after being reprimanded by the Court the Cabinet had approved a proposal to get the accounts of the companies audited by CAG. People are also feel that companies are openly looting and there is great manipulation in their accounts. Since the Government is hand in glove with the power companies hence in place of auditing the accounts, it is allowing the power companies to hike power tariff again & again. By implementing new slab system tariff has increased many times higher. BJP will lodge FIR with the Delhi Police for investigation into all these conspiracies and punishment to the guilty persons.
