Preparations for massive rally of Unorganised Workers completed

MASSIVE WORKERS RALLY WILL BE HELD ON 25th SEPTEMBER IN RAMLILA MAIDAN 

New Delhi, 23rd Sept. Under the Chairmanship of BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta a big meeting was held at the venue of rally for "Majdoor Mahasangram Rally" to be organised on 25th September in Ramlila Maidan for 11 main demands related to the welfare of 35 crore workers of unorganised sectors of the country. Responsibility for all the arrangements was assigned to important leaders of Delhi related to the rally. 

On the initiative of National President of BJP Shri Nitin Gadkari, the party has formed a nation wide federation named Bharatiya Janata Majdoor Mahasangh for uniting the workers of the entire country and for securing their rights. Former Central Minister Prahlad Patel has been appointed the National President of this organisation. Delhi Legislator Shri Manoj Shokeen has been appointed as the National Vice President. Shri Anil Kumar Mittal has been appointed the Chief Convenor of Delhi. 

Shri Vijender Gupta told that this will be the first national level rally of this organisation in which about 1 lakh unorganised workers of the country shall assemble in Delhi and pressurize the Central Government to accept their demands. Thousands of unorganised workers from various fields of Delhi shall assemble in this rally. Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has made arrangements on large scale for this rally. Arrangements have been made for supplying food and water continuously for 72 hours to lakhs of workers coming for the rally at the site of rally itself so that no worker goes without food. 

The main demands of the workers of unorganised sector are: (i) 3 percent of the GDP be spent on the welfare of the workers of unorganised sector for which provision be made in the budget. (ii) Uniform and simplified registration be done for the unorganised workers of the country. (iii) Right to livelihood should be fundamental right. (iv) FDI should be abolished from retail sector. (v) The registration number of the worker be included in the Aadhar Card. (vi) Workers should be given BPL card. The income limit for BPL should be realistic. (vii) Special hospitals be opened on the lines of ESI for these workers. (viii) The children of unorganised workers be provided higher and professional education. (ix) The farmers having arable land upto 5 acres be declared agricultural workers. (x) Housing facility be provided to the unorganised workers. (xi) Central Government should arrange for minimum monthly pension of 1500 rupees to the registered workers.
