People of Delhi should dislodge Congress Govt.

Heavy corruption is being committed in privatization of water by delhi govt. – Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi, 4th August. Openly challenging Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in a big conference of more than 4500 RWAs of Delhi on the issue of making inhuman decisions of steep hike in the power tariff and making Delhi waterless by handing over water supply system to private players, senior BJP leader Smt. Sushma Swaraj told that the Chief Minister should tell the people of Delhi that who has allowed her to loot the people on the issue of water supply after the loot in power tariff in Delhi? Delhi Govt. is privatizing water supply for committing heavy corruption. Pradesh President Sh. Vijender Gupta presided over the conference today. He told that the Congress leaders are party to the loot of hundred million dollars business of foreign water supply companies. BJP fully rejects this privatization.

She told that Article 21 of the Constitution of India guarantees fundamental rights to life to every citizen of the country. Food and water are the basic requirements of life. Water is such precious gift of nature which has been given free to every person. Govt. is only the trustee of this resource (water). Selling water to foreign companies is violation of the Constitution, insult to the Indian religious scriptures and fraud with 77% poor people of the country. On the one hand Supreme Court says that the food grains rotting in the godowns be distribute among the poor free of cost and on the other hand anti people Congress government is commercializing water. She called upon the RWAs of Delhi that they should get united against this atrocity and disloadge Congress Govt.

Thanking all the representatives of RWAs, Traders Organizations, Office Bearers of Industries Associations, people connected with Villages of Delhi BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta told that presence of such large number of representatives of RWAs in Talkatora Stadium is witness of the fact that the people of Delhi are suffering due to the atrocities and anti people decisions of Delhi Govt. People of Delhi want change. Now the time has come for the people of Delhi to unite because Congress Govt. of Delhi should either decrease the power tariff, withdraw privatization of water and change its anti people policies otherwise it will have to face defeat.

He further told that it has been clearly stated in the water policy 2012 directed by the World Bank that water should be treated that as economic commodity. Hence water supply should be done with the objective of profit. The price of water should be based on cost and be increased in constantly. In the draft policy it has been stated that water supply, medical service and education should be profit based. If it happens then India will be ruined. The county in which 77% people do not have sufficient food, how they shall be able to purchase costly water, medical facility and education? The people of Delhi should unite to change this government. If it is delayed then the Congress Govt. will fill its coffers by looting the people. Water is being privatized to loot the people after privatization of power. We will have to fight long battle against it.

National Gen. Secy. Sh. Vijay Goel told that Smt. Sheila Dikshit has been in power for the last 14 years yet 30% people of the capital are not being supplied drinking water and 40% people do not get the facilities of sewer system. National Secy. Arti Mehra, Vani Tripathi, Sanjay Kaul, Suresh Bindal, Ved Praksh Rathi and V.K. Maheshawari and representaives of other RWAs addressed the conference today.
