BJP will stage massive dharna at Jantar Mantar on 12th November to protest against Congress sponsored price spiral

BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that the Central and Delhi Congress Governments have completely failed to curb price spiral.  Now the conditions are such that the common man has been deprived of his bread and butter and the Government is not able to provide employment.  He has appealed to the people that they will have to come in the streets to protest against the misgovernance, only then the Government could be taught a lesson.  BJP Delhi Pradesh will stage massive dharna at Jantar Mantar on Saturday, the 12th November to protest against Congress sponsored price spiral and continuous hike in the price of petrol.  Besides the Shri Vijender Gupta many Central and Pradesh BJP leaders will participate in this dharna.  Workers from entire Delhi will assemble and strongly protest against the Congress sponsored price spiral.
Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta told that the Central and Delhi Congress Governments have completely failed.  They are not able to solve any problem of the country.  In order to cover up their failure the Congress has hatched a new conspiracy to break the back of common man by fuelling price spiral.  The Government wants that the common man may be so much engrossed in making his both ends meet that he may not be able to agitate against the Government.  BJP will break this illusion of the Government.  BJP will start strong movement against price spiral in entire Delhi.  The people of Delhi will be part of the movement.
He told that the Kerala High Court has observed that this Government sponsored price spiral is pushing the people towards death.  Admitting a PIL for consideration the High Court directed all the three big oil companies to submit their balance sheet before the court.  It may be mentioned that these three oil companies had shown heavy profit in their annual balance sheet.  This fact has also been stated in the annual report issued to their share holders.  Big advertisements were given in the papers in this connection.
Shri Gupta told that in no country of the world the price of petrol is increased so frequently.  Due to the increase in the price of petrol the entire economic system is disturbed.  In India the Government recovers heavy tax on petrol, diesel, cooking gas, kerosene, CNG, PNG etc.  If the burden of taxes on petrol is decreased then the people could be supplied petrol at the rate of Rs. 25 per litre.  The Government is throttling the people by both hands.  It is determined not to reduce taxes on petrol.  The prices of food grains and other items of daily necessity are increasing 5 to 10% every month.  Inspite of this the Prime Minister and Finance Minister are announcing new dead lines for curbing price spiral.  But the people are not ready to digest false assurances of the Government.
On the other hand the Reserve Bank of India is breaking the back of the industry of the country by increasing interest rates.  Now the people are not in a position to purchase houses due to increase in the interest rates. The common man has to spend 40 to 50 percent on house rent.  10 to 20 percent of his earning is spent on conveyance.  The people are feeling great difficulties in maintaining their families.  In Delhi the circle rates have been increased by 350% within eight months.  The conspiracy of Delhi Government behind this increase is that the poor people may not be able to purchase land or houses.  Hence the circle rates have been increased due to which the dream of common man to have a house of his own will remain unfulfilled.
