BJP welcomes today’s High Court verdict on the objectionable word used in the caste certificates issued by the Delhi Government. Today in the High Court Delhi Government through its standing counsel gave an undertaking that the word “Chuhra” will not be used in the caste certificates issued for the Valmiki Community. In view of this undertaking, the the bench of Hon’ble Chief Justice Sh. Deepak Mishra and Justice Sanjeev Khanna ordered that the certificates issued so far with the derogatory word be withdrawn and New Certificates without this derogatory word be issued immediately.
